Yes, it is the “monsoon season” in Prescott, and I love it!  Our mild four seasons make this a wonderful place to live. “BUT it is so hot in Arizona” you say - to which I reply “Prescott is no hotter than southern California in the summer, and cooler than the East Coast.” I know hot is hot and we have had days in the 80’s and 90’s this past month, but it REALLY IS a dry heat.  When our humidity comes, it is due to the monsoon rains, and the cloud cover with the lightning and thunder refreshes the air, cools our temperature and provides an abundance of color. Beautiful!  But you may have to see it to believe it.

August is here and there is still time for a visit. Spend time at our downtown Square, which hosts outdoor movies, concerts and Prescott Idol – the many boutiques, shops and eateries – and stop by the Chamber of Commerce to pick up your “Dining and Entertainment Guide” featuring coupons and discounts for your time with us. And remember we are a nice drive to the Grand Canyon, Bearizona, the Deer Park and Sedona, and only minutes to our lakes, hiking trails and the Granite Dells.

Then when you fall in love with Prescott, visit me for a search of your “dream home”.
